Color Club Japanese Glitters Take 1

Over the next two days, I have the exclusive Color Club Japanese Glitters for Victoria Nail Supply.

bishop weed

Bishop Weed is a clear based polish with iridescent glitter. There’s really no hope for opacity, so this is two coats.

DazzlingOrange

Dazzling Orange I really don’t like – it kind of looks like I have a staining problem in a quite unattractive way. This is also two coats, no hope for opacity.

calendula for joy

Calendula for Joy is a strongly peachy pink. Again, no opacity, this is two coats.

twinkle peach

Twinkle Peach is actually a less peach version of Calendula for joy, just a faint pink sheer with iridescent glitter. This was two coats.

light glitters over silver

light glitters over blue

Bishop Weed is on the pinky, one coat over silver (Lippmann Collection Stardust). It’s just an addition of glitter. Same over Lippmann Collection Devil in a Blue Dress (deep blue jelly).

Over silver, Dazzling Orange (ring finger), it gives a yellowy sheen. No color difference over blue – looks just like Bishop Weed.

Over silver, Calendula for Joy (middle finger), just has a faint pink sheen. Over blue, it looks just like Bishop Weed.

Over silver, Twinkle Peach (pointer finger) has a faint pink sheen identical to Calendula for Joy. Over blue, it looks just like Bishop Weed.

So far, not too impressed with these. Technically, more color might be reached with more coats, but these are kind of thick in viscocity, and the idea of four coats of this stuff just doesn’t appeal to me at all. So as a layering polish, maybe you need one of these.
